Kids are smarter than us. (The little one that is.)

So I am unloading hay out of my truck and my 5 year walks one circle around the truck thoughtfully watching as I work and then asks, "How come the sides don't fold down like the back? Then you would have more flat room.

Now I know there are some obstacles that would make doing this hard but still, the power of a new mind un-tainted by the thinking of others like grown ups.

(Meant to say, "The little one's." not the teenagers who already have it all figured out.

Lol - I like the pic. I think with a little work it could be done right. The sides would stick out but they could have reflectors or lights.

That is why Volkswagen trucks have been doing that since the late 1950's.

I couldn't find any pictures of the VW pick up with the side straight out - maybe it couldn't do that. AND, don't forget to tell your 5-year-old about the Rampside "Cor-van" - GREAT for loading Hay !!!

That is a good idea, and if you could have the bottom of the bed above the wheel well, that would work dandy!

More German engineering - the last one has one heck of a bed side tool box !!!
( I wonder if the door on THAT one rusted as bad as the door on mine )

Thought I would share a few pics of my Dad's Double cab Dokas. Both are 4wheel drive. We took them to a gathering in Hollister last year. Pretty fun time.

My neighbor has one of those, and it is one cool little truck!!! The idea is definately ahead of its time when they came out. I have told him if he ever gets rid of it, I want to be the first to know hes selling. He drives that truck all over the country, with no issues.
