Truck is now a short bed!

Hi,
I haven't posted in a while(been sick), but feeling better now.
We shortend the LWB to a SWB. It is a tube frame so the chassis was easy. We cut the bed down. It turned out great.
I had a lot ballast with LWB. We pulled it out and with everything else we lost 250lbs. It weighs 2700 with out my big butt.
Looking to run 8.90's on the motor.

Re: Truck is now a short bed!

Glad to see you are feeling a bit better. I passed through your backyard yesterday on my home from Oregon. Can't wait to see the numbers the truck puts down at the track again.

I doubt you are interested, but there is an old school event going on May 21st in Dos Palos. 1/8 mile, no clock, run what you brung heads up. It is for 1973 and early and all proceeds go to restoring Eagle Field Airport. Check it out here. http://www.eaglefielddrags.com/

That's 2700 with out my 300!(down from 350)

My girl is still on the mend. Very sad.
Regan...you still running the Jegs series? I'm mainly going to grudge and maybe some 9.00 index.
The flat bracket next to the batteries is for a N20 bottle...

That looks like a great idea...I'll have to try to work it into my schedule.

Re: Truck is now a short bed!

It would be awesome to have another fast truck down there I'd be happy to make a pass with you, even though I know I probably don't stand a chance unless you do what the rails do there and run the 1/8 in a smoke screen fasion. They are laying full drum of VHT out this time, so traction should be decent.

They let people camp out there over night, so that might be an option for you. I think you have to be signed up for racing 1 week in advance and tech closes at 11:30 the day of the event, so I suggest either staying there for the night or leaving real early that morning. I'd invite you to stay here the night before, but it's about an hour each way out of your way. But if that soulds like a viable option, let me know.. I'm sure I could talk my wife in to it
