Re: Got these parts blasted and nickel plated what you guys think
well i priced it out after my buddy did it and for blast and powder coat they wanted 400+, i emailed a guy and he priced it at $500 to nickel... lucky me i have a buddy that works at a company that blast and nickels industrial parts that go off shore, he threw my parts in the mix and i only had to pay $150.... plus my labor taking it apart.. the before picture was the setup i got FREE from a buddy so i did not have to buy that or take it off my truck... i thanks for the reply and i love the way it came out. the coils, frame and spindles will be black so i think its gonna look killer... i was not gonna get this detailed but once i started.. well you know how it goes...

Re: Got these parts blasted and nickel plated what you guys think
That's awesome! If you can take advantage of that opportunity again I'd consider sending him all of your bolts/door hardware/hood hinges, and jack hardware to plate also. Would be awesome!

Re: Got these parts blasted and nickel plated what you guys think
Looks very good. I'm just wondering. Do you know if it was electrolytic or electroless nickel plating? If it was electroless, it will tarnish and a clear coat might be in order.
