ls2

I have the opportunity to get an ls 2 with the 4l80 with about 60 thousand miles.comes with every thing.pedal assembly,everything for 2 grand.will be going in my 66.please would like to know all the pros and cons before i get it.

Moving to LSx swaps where you will find/get more info. The LS2 never came with the 80E behind it. So more than likely if they are both from the same vehical you have a LQ4/4l80e or if it truely is a LS2 with the aluminum block the trans will be a 4L65E or 4L70E.

Aluminum block 6.0 is an LS2.
Iron block 6.0 is LQ4 or LQ9.
You might also be sure you know what trans you are getting.
what about the computer(s)?
Just as a comparison, 16k miles on the LQ4/4l80e compete set up was purchased for $2k. I think that is a tad high but for the low mileage I splurged some...
