Windshield Washer tank?

Does anybody have a custom windshield washer fluid tank? I'm having trouble finding an replacement and not many billet tanks out there. Anybody modified a oil can, coffee can, tupperware.... into a washer fluid tank?

If you have pics and links would be great...

Re: Windshield Washer tank?

I got one from some late model sedan at the scrap yard. Fits perfectly on my driver's side inner fender.

you say you're having trouble locating a replacement... you looking for a stock one, or you want something else?

Reproduction ones are available from most vendors including the fine ones here on the BB.I've seen ones from other vehicles used but didn't pay much attention to what they came off of.You could probably "Rat Rod" one,but then I would ask,"Do rat rods have window washers?"

Re: Windshield Washer tank?

Repro's are pretty cheap, but you can make one out of any aluminum tank with a few skills. If you can't weld aluminum there are place that can. or you can braze it with aluminum brazing rods. Used be be about 1.00 per inch to weld at shops around here. Probably higher now. thay way you can have a pure custom tank. Be fairly easy to do.

Re: Windshield Washer tank?

I used a Gatorade bottle, drilled a hole in the top & stuck hose in, threw the bottle in the corner by the fender & firewall. The mechanic said the washers had to work to safety it. Sorry I don't have a picture.
