Rodding a 4x4

So I'm a newb here. About to begin a frame off project on a 72 K5 I just purchased. It's factory 4x4, but I want to give it a "street" stance. The truck won't be used for off-roading, in fact it's going to be a daily driver, so I want it to ride as nice as possible. What options do I have? I have read a few threads suggesting removing some leafs from the pack, but I'm just curious if there's an aftermarket approach. So let me know!

BTW. Drivetrain will be a stroked 402 LS2 w/ 4L80 trans adapted to the factory transfer case. Still deciding on wheel/tire combo.

Thanks for any input!

Chuck
