71 chevy stepside 4X4 The sparkplugless edition
Ok so last month I started my summer project (its called that cz thats when it will hopefully be complete*) picked the truck up from out west and towed it back to ky. My dad had a 76 stepper that was awesome aand i always wanted something like that. Also i have always been a fan of the big ole diesels. So im gonna try to have my cake and eat it too. plans are as follows box in the frame then swap in a 12v 6bt with an alison tranny, ad a couple leafs and put new axels on it then get it painted, wich wont be hard because the body is in great shape thanks to it being out west all its life.

Very cool! Which model allison are you using? They can be pretty bad about robbing power and mileage. The dodge 47re transmission is much more efficient. 2¢
