Birthday Present...

UPS brought my birthday present today (or at least one of them)

New Hooker Ceramic Coated headers for the '87 Lowrider.

Also got a kickdown switch for the tranny. Gonna get 'em installed next week and do some fuel line re-routing.

Weekend cruisin' bout ready to kick into high gear.

Sweet !

But, She needs to "make" you clean that RTV from around the stat housing.

Where did you get them and how much did they set you back ?

I had those same valve covers on my 79. Wife made me buy them.

Replaced the stat last week, took care of excess.. Got 'em at Summit along with gaskets, collectors and a kickdown switch for the TH400. Headers were $385 (two day delivery time).

Doing a complete detail under the hood, getting ready for cruisin's and shows this year.. gotta find me some buckets and get the interior finished up too.

Re: Birthday Present...

Well, we got hammered by a severe weather outbreak during the last half of April. I got the '87 out of the shop last week with a host of issues taken care of. I'll get her cleaned up and get some pics of the engine to post. Headers sound amazing though..

Those are going to look nice. I love bigblock headers and the Hookers look super nice hanging from a C10.
