67-72 steering wheel in 73-87

Anyone done this? Is it Possible without extensive modification? Any pics?
Just curious, I know people like to put the newer wheels on but I really like the look of the old ones

Re: 67-72 steering wheel in 73-87

Hi Telecasterjoey,

I did the opposite ... put a newer steering wheel in my 72 as a temporary fix until I get around to repairing some cracks in the 72 wheel. It was a direct fit so it should work the other way around without any modification.
