About enough room to slip a finger tween the cap & firewall(snug). The dist will come out of the eng after you take the cap & rotor off......crazyL

You could work the firewall with a spoon & hammer, but i havent had any problems . My firewall has been notched for the heads when I was running olds & caddy....the spot behind the dist is still stock tho.... crazyL
