What do you guys use to cut the holes in the door and kick panel for speakers?

Re: speaker locations

A cut off wheel or an air saw would be fine.

Re: speaker locations

Oh okay, so you just drew the circle, and followed the line. Gotcha.

Re: speaker locations

I use the speaker to trace an outline on the door, drill a pilot hole and use an air chisel to make the cut. If you use a sharp chisel and work slow, the hole will turn out nicely and not need too much cleaning up. Before I install the speaker, I use a little bit of foam weatherstripping before mounting the speaker. As far as the screws, I use regular self-tapping sheet metal screws.

Re: speaker locations

Why cut the doors for speakers...when you can put them in the cab corner? See the link in my signature.

I'm going to make brackets like that, but that hold 2 6.5" speakers. I already have the speakers. I was just toying with the idea of speakers in the doors.
