Front suspension identification problem

Hi guys , I am new here and I want to ask your advice.
I have started frame off restoration of my 1972 Gmc , it was a 3/4 ton longbed , but previous owner cut the frame , and put a short bed on it. He also installed a five lug , ten bolt rear end . The front suspension was swaped too and thats why I am asking your help.
The control arms shafts has a rubber bushings , so I think the control arms and spindles was taken from 1973 up 1/2 ton truck , but I have no idea , what about rest of the stereeng and suspension components I want to replace new
Let me know please, which parts should I buy for a 1972 3/4 ton truck and which , ( except control arm bushings of course) , for 1973 up 1/2 ton. Look at the pictures please , maybe you will know what kind of parts my truck needs.
Do you think is complete crossmember swaped?
I live in Poland , ( Eastern Europe) and really appreciate your advice , couse I have to be maximum sure what I will buy . There is no returns or exchange the wrong parts in my case , so try to help me solve this problem.
I know guys , my language is not the best ,so sorry for all the mistakes.
If you need more pictures , let me know , what you need.
Thank you and regards!

Re: I need your advice

The a-arms are definitely 73-87 parts.
Measure the width of the rotors.
They will be either 1" wide "light duty" rotors,... or the 1.25" wide "Heavy Duty" rotors.
This matters when it comes to ordering spindles, bearings, calipers, or new rotors.

Welcome! cool to see our fellow truck nerds are working on vintage metal across the pond.

I think it is cool also to see these vintage American trucks in Europe and other countries.

Re: I need your advice

Welcome to the forum 68caddy. I agree that looks like 73-87 suspension. My guess is they did swap the entire crossmember. Good luck tracking your parts down.

The tabs where the flex brake line is attached were not there on factory 73-up crossmembers (the hoses are routed through the frame).

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Question Re: I need your advice

Thank you for your posts . Maybe you can give me some points , how can I verify type of parts used in my truck.
Let me know which suspension and stereeng parts from 73-up 1/2ton , can be mixed with 72 3/4 ton , maybe thats the way to understand something in this puzzle.
I think the best thing for me , is a place where I can compare dimenisions of each part , I 'll remove it ,mesure and everything will be clear.Do you know where can I find this kind of information.
Guys , you mess with this great old staff for a long time , so I don't believe there is no way to solve this problem with your help.
If you need more photos let me know.
Scoti , you wrote about not factory brake lines , whats it in your oppinion , one more swap?
Thank you for support!
