turn signal connector

Hello all! I am trying to install a new T/S Switch. It is an OEM replica with the red hazard knob. It took 11 days for it to be delivered (should have only taken 2 days). I inserted the wires into the semi-circle C connector out of excitement and now the wires are locked in place. I can't get the connector through the steering column and, the Kent-Moore J-22727 tool is $85 bucks. Does anyone have any ideas to remove the wires? Thanks for the help.
