HELP! Anyone in Arlington area!

I found a truck in Arlington (Texas that is)and was wondering if anyone would be willing to look at it for me? I MAY be able to drive up Thursday and look at it.
I talked to the guy this A.M. and it sounds like it MAY be what I'm looking for. What would be ideal would be someone to look at it and take some pics of potential problems. It sounds like several people have called about truck so I may need to decide ASAP.
Anyone willing or able can either e-mail me or pm me.
E-mail is: doktrred@msn.com
Thanks,
Mike

I would be glad to look at it for you but it would have to be this weekend. I do have a digital camera so I could take some pics.

Jwill41,
Thanks, I may take you up on the offer. Especially if I can't get up there Thursday. I'll let you know.

I checked out a 67 stepside that was for sale in Arlington for a board member about six months ago and the truck was trash.

The truck was kind of a metalic blue.
The guy was asking around 3 grand for it.
It was for sale through the auto trader and did not look bad from the pics but in person was a nightmare.

Let me know what you got and I may save you a trip.

Hutch,
This is a '72 LWB Cheyenne, blue and white. Did see it on auto trader , and you are right, those pics are so small that it's hard to tell what your lookin' at. I talked to the owner this a.m. and he said the rocker on drivers side probably needed replacing, but thought the floor was o.k. There was small dent in drivers side door but not bad. Tailgate was in good shape except for very small amt of rust in lower corner? Eng. has 15k on rebuild, and A/C not working (compressor isn't in truck but he has the compressor????).
I'm trying not to get into a big hurry, but i've seen several trucks that are described like this and they are asking $4K plus for them. This truck is listed for $3,200.

This is the link to the truck in question. It is listed as a C-10 but is a Cheyenne.

Truck belongs to:
Jerry E Pierce, (817) 465-5952, 1509 Caplin Dr, Arlington, TX 76018
What areas did you need to check on it?

Hutch,
WOW you're good! I guess I'm just trying to decide if this truck is worth driving 4 hours to look at. I'm looking for a solid daily driver that I don't have to put alot of time or $ into fixing at the outset.
I guess i'd like to know generally if it looks like the owner(s) took good care of the truck. What level of rust is on the truck(when he says a little rust on the rockers, does it really mean be careful, or your but may fall through the truck). Is the interior a wreck etc....
Is this the truck you were talking about in your earlier post?
Do you think it's a decent buy for $3200?
That kinda stuff.
Sorry I couldn't be more specific,
Mike
