Wasn't somebody wanting one of these recently?
Found on Ebay... seem to remember somebody wanting one of these specifically with the spare tire cutout.

For being so close the rust might be worth not paying for freight etc... good luck.

Re: Wasn't somebody wanting one of these recently?
FYI: Caveat Emptor.
That fender is for a long bed truck. If you have a short bed it will put the tire very close, if not rightup against, the cab. A 27" outside diameter tire is the biggest you can use on this fender with a shortbed. A long bed fender mounts the spare lower and closer to the cab, A shortbed fender mounts the tire higher and farther away from the cab. Last edited by lakeroadster; 04-20-2011 at 12:37 PM. |

62ShortStep I dont know if you know anyone in Oklahoma, but there was a short step bed with the cut out here in Oklahoma for around 200 bucks, and it was supposed to be in really good shape.

lakeroadster:
interesting... I didn't know the fender cut outs were different between the long and short steps. Ya learn something new everyday! What about the rest of the fenders without the cut outs... any differences between the short and long step fenders? I'm just a curious fella... -W |

Fenders without cutouts are the same for long and short beds (55-66). Fenders with the cutout: look for the 1 1/2 inch hole at the center of the cutout...with hole is short bed, without hole is long bed. The cutout location is actually a little different between the two fenders; on the long bed version the spare tire sits a little lower. |

Re: Wasn't somebody wanting one of these recently?
I used a long bed fender on my short bed, just to get the tire down lower, 'cause I think it looks better. FYI: Spare I used is a 4-ply Firestone 640-15.
My truck has a longbed stepside fender (notice how low it sits) This truck has a short bed fender (notice how high it sits) I don't think there is any difference unless it has the factory spare tire cutout. Last edited by lakeroadster; 04-20-2011 at 02:31 PM. |

I agree Lakeroadster, it looks great with the tire sitting lower.
My tires are stock size so I'll have to stick with the short bed fender. But it does put the tire pretty high in the air! |

62ShortStep, I looked and I was unable to find it. I will keep my eyes out for it though. I will let you know if I see it or another one.

I've got a shortbed fender with the cutout I don't think I am going to use.
It does have a dent on the wheelwell lip that would need repair. Its in N. Texas

Re: Wasn't somebody wanting one of these recently?
Many thanks to Heater63 for providing the fender I was looking for. Heater63 basically sent me the fender for the price of shipping... I sure appreciate his help!
