Saddle gas tanks and switch
Saddle gas tanks, in cab tank and switch out of a '70 GMC. Would like to sell everything together if possible.
The saddle tanks were cut out, so the stock mounting bolt won't work. Either a good bolt will need to be welded on, or supporting straps fabbed up. $40 for switch, $60 for saddle tanks, in-cab tank FREE. This is going to be local pickup only due to the gas tanks not able to be shipped. Pics: will post tomorrow, Photobucket is down right now

Re: Saddle gas tanks and switch
IF it comes down to separating and IF you dont mind shipping it (at my cost, naturally), I'm interested in the switch and plate.

Are the tanks rusty inside?

Re: Saddle gas tanks and switch
I assume that, being 40 years old, they are..... they did have a gallon or so of gas in each of them that I drained and it came out pretty clean, but I can't vouch for how the rest of the tank is.

Re: Saddle gas tanks and switch
Other than c1069 wanting the in-cab tank, I still have everything. So, willing to take offers on individual parts.

Re: Saddle gas tanks and switch
Just for SA - someone asked about rust in these ol things. Before you slosh around one of the sealers that you can buy at Jegs or Summit is to take it to a radiator shop and have them clean the inside - then seal it. Worth every penny, and salvages old crusty tanks well. Good luck on your sale - nice stuff. If I was still in Ridgecrest, I might come grab the whole pile!
