69 gmc air cleaner help......
Ok
I can not put my original air cleaner brake with the new bigger power booster brake kit installed. I got a 9 " round new air cleaner that fits perfct was able to conect one of the hoses to the air cleaner BUT,,,,,,the metal one that come off the manifold..( arrow on picture) Do I need to keep that one hooked??? I already removed , but not sure If will make a difference on the running engine some light??? |

You can remove the pipe coming off the exhaust manifold when you are using a non stock air cleaner.
That pipe provides warm air to the carb to prevent carb icing in colder climate, I think, until the engine warms up. Everyone that runs a non stock air cleaner removes it.
