Thumbs up 85 C10 Silverado original beauty

This is not my truck for sale - but I had to post it for everyone to enjoy. It is a 1985 Silverado with, IIRC, 112k on it. Supposedly untouched since new - a survivor. He did say he had put a new 350 in it a short while back. Outside of that - and the wheels it looks like to me, supposedly as she came from the factory, original paint and all. What a beauty. He's really proud of her though - asking $7500 - that seems high to me. More pics to follow:

Thats depends on your region. Here in Texas that would be a LOT. In the Norteast, thats just a little.

Either way, with that rust showing there is more coming soon. Its a nice truck, but combine the rust and the long bed and 7500.00 is double its value in the South.

Re: 85 C10 Silverado original beauty

That's what I was thinking. You could have knocked me over with a feather when he told me that number. He said he had turned down an offer of $6200. Trucks in that shape here in MO are rare, but I can drive one back from a long way away for that kind of dough. Just thought it was neat to see one that had been owned since new by the same guy here in MO that wasn't swiss cheese.

Re: 85 C10 Silverado original beauty

That is about $4500 more than I would pay here in CA. Even with our CA inflation that $7500 is WAYYYY to expensive with that rust. Cool to see a well taken care of truck though

Re: 85 C10 Silverado original beauty

You could buy a 5k-6k swb that is just as nice with no rust in the south and have it shipped for that number. Way to much money.

Maybe this is his way of getting the wife off his back about selling his truck?

Re: 85 C10 Silverado original beauty

Nice truck but I must agree on the price. A similar 84 here in Tucson is $3500, but has high miles and needs engine work, but also is a no hit body and supposedly rust free. If I lived in the rust belt, I would pay the $900 or so to have a rustfree truck shipped to where I lived, rather than spend much more than that in body work and still have rust lurking in the body.

Hmmm..... Seems the last few "well" taken care of trucks posted had engine swaps around 1K or less, I find it odd that they take care of the truck and not what makes the truck move....

Yeah, we're not all that smart here in the rust belt. We hear 'rust belt', and think, "damn, i'd better keep after that body", but we've never heard 'forgot to check the oil belt'...
