Question Issues?

Anyone had issues with the repro sheet metal products from LMC? I understand they are imported and someone told me they had problems with fitment.

I'll get the more expensive genuine GM repros is this is true.

Re: Issues?

I am told all the aftermarket stuff is coming from the same place regardless what sticker is on it or what name they are called. That comes from people who are vendors for the stuff. Someone please correct me if this is not so...

Re: Issues?

I've purchased a number of sheetmetal parts from LMC and a carpet. Bedpan and inner rear fenders. Box sides are OEM. The pan bolt holes weren't exactly spot on and required some modification. The tail gate (OEM) still has issues I have to deal with because the pan isn't factory. Inner fenders went right in. Carpet was good, but in my opinion, was cut short left to right and was to long front to back. jim

Re: Issues?

I've had issues with every single piece of sheetmetal I've ever used that wasn't GM-NOS, and even then you have a little bit with GM-NOS sometimes. IMO that's the one place to never ever cheap-out. you'll regret it if you're trying to make the vehicle really nice.

Aftermarket is for starters and water pumps. GM-NOS is for all things body related.
