Opinions on this truck

What would you think if you saw this truck driving down the street or at a show?

I would think it was a nice truck with some tasteless modifications.

Nice truck. I'm not much on hood scops or tunnel rams, but it's nicer than my truck, so who am I to criticize?

Re: Opinions on this truck

I like it, cool period piece.

I'd swap the bug catcher for a BDS dual carb scoop... Done.

It's ok to not be a card carrying member of the "me too" crowd.

When the movie back to the future came out I would have thought that that was an awesome truck, but that is my opinion, do whatever floats your boat.

Re: Opinions on this truck

Not mine. I have a pretty good shot at getting it but trying to get some outside opinions. I know the truck is dated but is rust free, has a stout 396, TH400, 9 inch rearend with 4 link and a great price. I have been looking for a decent square for a few weeks and kinda lucked into this one. I would definately make a few changes but would want to drive it while I do.

Re: Opinions on this truck

Sure it is dated, but it is cleaner/nicer than most of the trucks here on the board. I'd buy it for the right price, change a few minor things, and enjoy it.

Pretty much hit the nail on the head here. If it is as nice in person as it looks in the pics and the price is reasonable. Go for it. Removing that body kit and changing the steering wheel/grille would make a WORLD of difference in that truck.

Re: Opinions on this truck

I wouldn't change a thing it all looks great
how is it dated? it is an 80 or so?
the body kit looks like all the "new" trucks have anyway
up here at a "show " I'm sure
you would have to wipe the drool off the fenders at the end of the day

not a bad looking truck. Everyone is entitled to their own taste. Looks a whole lot better than what you sometimes you see out in the streets.

After watching HG TV earlier today I'd say it needs granite counter tops, and stainless steel appliances.

Re: Opinions on this truck

Minus the body kit and add a few updated parts and it's good to go.

Once again, I am with Jeff here. I kinda dig it.

Good thing you didn't watch Mike Holmes then. It would be in pieces, then rebuilt better than ever.

This sums it up perfectly.

I like the 80's stuff, but then again, I am stuck there. My newest car is an 88 Trans Am. If I could still pull off a mullet, I would probably have that, too.

Re: Opinions on this truck

I would stuff the biggest drag radials that I could find on it, swap the 396 for a very healthy 496, leave every thing else the same, and have fun. Would be an awesome sleeper.
