OEM CHO CHO Customs chevy

OK guys. I bought this truck the other day for a parts donor truck. I found a vin plate on the inside door that says it is a CHO CHO customs?? anyone know anything about it.
Here is the vin plate on the inside of the door.

Not a VIN plate. All it says is that the modifications that Choo Choo Customs did were in compliance with the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in effect on the date that the mods were made.

When this body style came out, it became the most-lowered new truck on the market. Choo Choo (in Chattanooga, TN) also made parts for the '78-88 El Caminos as well as other trucks. They had interior and exterior modification parts, so it was one reason that there were a lot of original seats for sale at swap meets. If you were at Petit Jean in June of the time frame from '88 and well into the Nineties, you'd have sees several vendors with seats and consoles, as well as new wheels/tires that were take-offs.

Centurion is another aftermarket conversion shop. There are more.

Choochoo Customs and Honest Charley's were hooked up weren't they? Anyone googled it to see if Choo choo is still in business? Or Honest Charley's for that matter.

Well i dont really have n e of the truck. i can take some ... I m gonna strip the truck down and part it out. it is a complete truck minus motor and tranny. Good shape to.

Well only think truck is missing is some of the front end suspension. and rearend. Complete interior cab doors bed frame. oh motor and tranny are gone.

LA WEST bought Choo Choo Customs in October 2000. Legend Motors Worldwide purchased LA West (Lagrange,Ind) in November 2006. LMW filed bankruptcy in June 2009. Coker Tire files for "Choo Choo Customs" trademark in July 2009.
