Engine swap
When gathering parts for my build ,I found a bbc and trans complete for great price. I have been driving it for the last three weeks and find that it does not make me happy. My last couple of build have all been either turbocharged or supercharged(I have a supercharged jeep 4.0 on the stand from an old amc project).so I bought a late model 250 and am looking for parts to put a turbo 6 in it. I have a couple of turbos already and am thinking 6-7psi is livable on a stock fresh engine. I will ditch the t350 for a 200 or 700.who knows,if I like it it may get a full house 292.So...am I nuts for wanting to replace the current powertrain?this truck will be used as a truck and for fun.I have no intentions of any kind of racing. I figure it willtake me until nov- dec to do it with all of my other obligations.

Re: Engine swap
IMO, the old L6's were torque monsters in stock trim, and fairly bullet proof too. and i'd do it because you don't see many people trying to hop up an old L6, mostly due to the limited aftermarket support.
