http://www.por15.com/STEERING-WHEEL-...ductinfo/SWRK/ I didn't buy the whole kit I just bought the ingredients to do the repair, I already have rasps, files, and all of the other body work tools. Epoxy primer and then body colour. Single stage Dupont Ful-Thane urethane. It turned out great. I'll keep you posted on how the paint holds up. Byron |

You know, every time I look at your truck I realize I need to sell my pile o parts and take a trip down to the island with a suitcase full of cash!
Love it! I have one of those hanging on the wall in the shop, hmmm....

Re: New/Old Steering Wheel
Would love to put an old one in mine. Will an original wheel work on an aftermarket column like a flaming river? I know it has an adaptor for a gm wheel?

Love that wheel. Looks to be a good colour for my truck. What year is this wheel? What column do you have it on? Thanks .. Brian

Re: New/Old Steering Wheel
I like the LOOK of the old one.
I like the feel of thicker, smaller new-ish wheels... but i hate most generic aftermarket wheels. it would be really cool if someone made a custom wheel that looked old, but had a smaller diameter with a thicker rim to grab. |

Re: New/Old Steering Wheel
Love the old school look 1956chevtruck, it's perfect for your truck.
I have a generic GM column and want to put my old 49-52 Chevy Deluxe steering wheel on it (It even says "Chevrolet" on the horn ring). Does anyone make an adaptor? |

Re: New/Old Steering Wheel
That wheel would look great in your truck.
I used a restored wheel from a 67 Chevelle SS on my last truck on a van tilt, I loved the feel of the skinny rim in my fat hands....

Re: New/Old Steering Wheel
I tried it in place of the current steering wheel and it seems a bit too big in diameter so I may let it go.
