Re: new to the forum

if it's ok,maybe switch with another to check it
make sure it's all the way in too the headlight switch
use a meter to check for power at the switch
i would disconnect the plug under the hood that has the parking wires in it
it will seperate to three plugs one of which will lead to the lights
with it out look for the brown wire, this should be the power to the lights
i would ohms the wire to ground to check for shorts
then a test jumper wire to see if they light up
if ok then hook it all up and you can rule out the exterior

Re: new to the forum

i already know there is no power coming from the switch for some reason as i can put my test light up to the yellow wire which is the only one beside my power wire going in the switch. would i just be able to unhook the brown wire and hook it to power to see if they work or would i have to try something else

Re: new to the forum

With the switch out , there would be no fuse if using the red to jumper/ test,if you used a fuse with a bit of wire it would be better
