Re: Looking for a firewall ?
Here's one on e-bay. If you do a search you can find more.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1955-...-/170610117699 If you have the skill to install one of those you should be able to make your own a lot cheaper. I made mine out of 16 gauge steel. It wasn't that hard. Kim |

Re: Looking for a firewall ?
you could do something like this if you have no fab skills. just get some 18 gauge steel about $50 or $60 for a 4 x 8 sheet, a harbor frieght $30 electric metal cutting shear, $5 in stainless screws,a harbor freight $20 metal hole saw set if you need to drill larger holes for a a/c or heater core and a cheapo electric hand grinder to smooth the edges. or do it like the guy below and get some thin gauge aluminium (but not to thin) and tin snips. because if you are looking to replace a firewall with something smooth you cant avoid fabrication, they never really just go right in. you always seem to half to cut and grind them to work. this is just an idea someone had alot of people dont like going this route. also i didnt go with a smooth firewall. they just didnt give me much leg room because the center notch for the engine is in 3 or 4 inches

Re: Looking for a firewall ?
I got mine from Direct Sheet Metal. It fit like a glove and not hard to put in. Check my old posts for pics.
