My 66k mile 72 with a 402 has the original water pump on it and its just starting to leak. Does anyone know where you can get one rebuilt? I would like to keep my original dated pump and have it rebuilt. I would like to find someone in Kansas city, but thats not that big of a deal. Thanks

There should be a local place that does it, If you live in a decent size city. I have taken several BB pumps to the place in in Lubbock and they usually have them out in the same day. The cost is @ $90-100.

I would check the yellow pages. If you can't find something, Let me know. I would be willing to get it done here but 2-way shipping would probably kill the deal.......Jason

I don't know. Maybe as simple as water pumps in the yellow pages. or iragation motors. I bet you local iragation people would know where to get them rebuilt. I will check and see how our local store is listed in the yellow pages.

I think A1 Car-done would be able to. You should be able to Send it in for an R & R. Go to a good parts store, with people that WANT to help you. Not just ones that say No we can't.

Joe, the place Jason is talking about does excellent work and does it for Camaro, Corvette etc all over the country. If you do not come up with something, send it to us and we will do all the local leg work. The large flat rate box should work.

Joe, it is O&G and the are very careful to restore the one you send not just one like it (date code etc)

If you have access to a shop press, you can do it yourself. There are rebuild kits on ebay and probably many auto stores.

I did the one for my 66 Impala a few years ago and it was easy! Just look online for instructions, that's what I did.

I googled water pump rebuild in kansas city mo and found this place. Casper Brake and Clutch Company....816-421-2780. Besides Brakes and Clutch rebuilds they also rebuild Water Pumps.
