transmission crossmember

Anyone running the transmission crossmember without the passenger side brace that goes to the top of the frame? I want to be able to route both 3" exhaust pipes over the top of the crossmember.

I stood on it with the engine and trans in and jumped up and down. It still seemed plenty stout.

Re: transmission crossmember

I'm doing a T5 install in mine, and the crossmember needs to come back a little...I don't think I'm going to use that brace either. I think the big ass lower control arms, and that brace are just preparation for heavy duty use in certain instances.

If people can "c notch" a frame, im sure u can c notch a trans member (does not bear any weight, only stabilizes)
