Caliper Clearance?

Hey guys,

I know this has been discussed, but how much clearance should there be between the caliper/caliper bracket and a rally wheel? I put on my rallys tonight and there wasn't much clearance at all. I was wondering if someone could post some pictures.

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: Caliper Clearance?

You could only get a dime(laying flat) between my calipers and rims when I was running 15's and that was after a bunch of grinding.

Re: Caliper Clearance?

But that gap will only grow as the pads wear, right?

Re: Caliper Clearance?

gap shouldn't change at all... as they as they don't rub you should be fine, a little grinding is ok but don't do too much...

You should see how much grinding occurs with a disk brake Dana 60 front and 15x10s...
