quadrajet electric choke
im new here and i have a 1983 gmc lwb 305/700r4 with the 4 barrel quadrajet and electric choke. i am just wondering how long these chokes are supposed to stay on because when it gets cold (anything below ~50) it seems like the choke will stay on long after the motor needs it. is there a way to adjust these at all? and is it supposed to kick off by itself? i always have to touch the throttle every few minutes to turn it off. any info will be greatly appreciated.

Re: quadrajet electric choke
Install a manual choke for $12 and be done with it. Your electric choke should have an adjustment in the large black bakelite disc on the side of the carburetor. I never had any electric or hot air choke work properly. With a manual choke you can control the choke operation and know when it is on of off.
