Re: Hail!!!
We are in the belly of the storms now ,tornados all around us .Georgia is getting hit hard from all the tv reports .Everyone stay as safe as you can out there ,these storms are as wicked as any Ive ever seen. It is very warm for this time of night which just churns the storms even more.

Re: Hail!!!
Yeah, the Knoxville area got hit hard with hail(according to the news). My area of Sevierville didn't get hit too hard. I don't think we got any hail, but we sure got some heavy rain. The most amazing part of these storms was the lightning. They reported more than 5000 lightning strikes just in one system in less than 30 minutes. It was a constant light show.
I'm sorry you guys got your cars beat up.

Re: Hail!!!
Sorry to hear bout that. I've been there but not as bad as you all have had it. I don't know which is worse - to get beat up by hail and tornadoes or a drought with high winds and get burned up by grass fires.
Two months without any precipitation and short about 16 inches here in my area. Farmers may lose all of the new crop which is already in the ground and ranchers running low on feed for cattle. Expect prices to reflect this on top of everthing else. |

Re: Hail!!!
The Russellville area made it through with no hail but the lightning was amazing. White Pine, Jefferson city, and Dandridge seem to have got the worst of it. Prayers go out to all that was effected.

Re: Hail!!!
Hail damage sucks... hope insurance treats you well. We had two trees down, but no vehicle damage thankfully. My camaro had a tree on one side, and basketball goal on the other side.. but nothing on it.

Re: Hail!!!
I was born right here in Washington state. But my family are all originally from the midwest or the south.
Growing up I heard all the crazy weather stories. Sure dad, hail the size of golf balls *coughBScough* Well one year my sons and I took a road trip. Here to the Dakotas and all the cool sights in between. We were in Sturgis and there was this car parked out side a store that looked like it had been shagging balls at a driving range. Why would someone whack the crap outta there car with a ballpeen hammer? Guy came outta the store, Hey whats the story on the zillion dents in your car? He looked at me like I was stupid, Hail storm, you've never seen damage from a hail storm? Ill take a volcano and earthquakes over the stuff the rest of the country has to put up with.

Re: Hail!!!
When I was in Korea I dated a local girl. When I was getting close to coming home she tried to talk me into staying. I kept telling her she could just come to see me in Alabama and she would always say no. I asked why she didn't want to come to Alabama to visit and she said, "Alabama no, you have hurricane, tornado, and KKK" I laughed my ass off but yes we do have bad storms here, from February to December..
