Re: Another Lowering spring question

Are you talking front or rear? What year truck, and how are you getting the 2" drop. More details will help a lot in giving the correct answer.

Re: Another Lowering spring question

You might be ok with the stock shocks for now. Anything lower and you will be better off with a replacement shock that specific to your drop.

The 97 suburban and 88- 98 chevy spindles will not work. You need 73-87 truck, 73-82 Blazer, or 73-91 Burb spindles. You will alos need to watch for standard duty with 1" rotors, and heavy duty with 1.25" rotors.

Remember, the 88-98 spindles can work, but it's definitely the harder way to accomplish the task vs. just buying the correct 73-87 parts. If using the 88-98 spindle, the lower a-arm has to be swapped along w/all the brake stuff.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

General rule of drop when cutting used coils for 63-87 trucks is 1-coil = approx 2" of drop.

Re: Another Lowering spring question

Thanks, I will have to take the front end apart again and cut the coils. I am really getting tired of this.
