Link to Instrument panel LED, white face, and colored lense info?

I just saw them recently, but can't find them. Getting really tired of no can see guages at nite, and decided to upgrade the whole thing. Looking for the info on white face guage panel, the best bulbs, and where to get the plastic to change the HVAC display color. I know someone will come thru, so thanks! in advance!!!

I've got no experience with white face gauges. For bulbs, I love LEDs because I love blue and you can't get a more pure blue light than blue LEDs.

I have blue LEDs in the clusters of both my '91...

...and in my '98 Suburban.

I did do the HVAC controls in the Suburban, but haven't bothered with the HVAC in my '91. I haven't felt that ambitious yet. This site looks to be a good source to get some plastic for the display, though.

I did mine with red L.E.D.s and changed the HVAC with trasparent plexi.

Thanks 1bad for the link, they want $10 for a 3X4" piece tho, think I'll look a little more. That blue is what I'm looking for in the lights.

Big Mac, your pic of the HVAC posted in a recent thread is what got me started...........
Didn't you post some links?

www.superbrightleds.com is also a good source for LEDs. That's where mine all came from.

if this is for moonie gauges http://whitegauges.net/products/1988...ce-Gauges.html those will give you white faces. IDK if thats what you wanted or not. I'm still waiting to LED my gauges. theres also a digital one that is of really good quality, on ebay. its like $200 though. Mine froze and broke do to a leaky windshield. but thats my friends error not product quality.

Re: Link to Instrument panel LED, white face, and colored lense info?

Thanks for the links and info, I pulled it all apart, painted the light green "reflector" thing white with Fusion plastic paint, cleaned it all up, replaced the lamps with new 194s, put it back together and was impressed with the brightness just with that. Ordered some blue LEDs from superbright, took the HVAC apart and discovered the original lens is "stepped" to fit in the hole and make it flush with the outside, got confused on the plastics sites, finally just put it back together stock till I figure out what I want to do. I think I may get a piece of blue as thick as the thickest part of the stock lens, and thin it as needed with a file, that should take care of the HVAC. Discovered that LEDs don't always work correctly for turn signal indicator bulbe due to the lower current draw, and haven't yet figured out what to order, but that should be figured out soon. The other warning lamps etc should be fine with the stock 194s. Got the blue LEDs installed today, won't know much till it gets dark. Sorry no pics, no camera. I think I'm gonna hold off on the white face thing, I think I'll probably be happy with the stock IP with the enhanced lighting. Also took the odometer and trip odo apart and cleaned them up good, if they're as bright as I think they will be, I'll be happy. They wer really dingy. Losing my computer access in the morning, so it'll be a while before another update. Thanks a million, fellas..........................
