Too Bad your not closer, I have the whole truck, 1968 LWB stepside, no rust. I still don't know what I am going to do with it. All that is wrong with it is a dented front fender and the top of the cab is damaged. Other then that is was restored and drives and functions great. Good luck on your search.

Lets give this a try, the following are some pics of the truck.
Pic 1 is the good side.
Pic 2 you can see the fender and the cab with damage.
Pic 3 rear view, passenger side.
Pic 4, total rear shot, you can see the bed is nice and straight.

Set of pics two.
This is the refurbished tailight I did and pic two is another of the engine, but the battery tray has been redone and is gloss black with cleaned/scrubed battery leads. This is her; all she needs is some cab and passenger fender work. The two steel wheels are spares for one of my trailors and have been replaced with the chromes that came on the truck. I used the steels to get it home. Runs strong and drives smooth. It is going to sit until I finish my Longhorn. Hope you like it.

there are 2 long step trucks in the conley pull a part yesterday (south side of atl.) 1 had a decent bed on it . They get about $240 for a complete bed. Woody

That sounds like a good deal allot closer for Crewcab59. Is that there in Atlanta or closer to Knoxville where he is at. I know over buy my Moms off of Clinton Highway near Powell there are some good yards with lots of these trucks still in them. As always good luck on any venture, that is what makes it fun.

The yard is GA is a 8 hr plus drive and no 100% the shape or will still be there.

Pc2: Left side looks like the other side, but is pushed in a little more. This can be worked back out. There is no creasing.
Pic3: another straight shot. The rust is just surface, no cancer or rust holes. It has a 2 inch ball and a double mid section for strength. I have only seen three of these in my life time. I walked away from one that came with my Longhorn because I couldn't cut the attachment off because they were welded on and they cut the frame. More to come.

So,you want him to take his time to run to the junk yard for you to check and see if these beds are still there after two years? He's a nice guy and so am I but,I dunno,that's a tall order don't you think? I know him but would find it hard to ask such a favor.
