Unhappy Crash Test

I hate to post this. Hurts my eyes to see this happen to a good truck. But just for those who wanna know, this is how our trucks hold up to a 70 mph side impact from a toyota camry that likes to run red lights. I bought this truck today to add to my parts collection. Will be parting out as soon as I figure out what I can use off of it.

Wow, not bad considering the other car was going 70. I already feel safe when I drive my truck (and my car, '81 Cadillac ) but this just reassures me.

Wow, looked like a pretty solid truck. BTW, driving to Norfolk and back yesterday (15 minute drive) I counted 9 of these trucks. One was even a longstep!

welcome,

from the looks of the truck, the other car could have went under it.

Thats just one reason why I like old domestics. I'd like to see any Honda hold up that good.

Last year a girl from school ran a yield and I t-boned her with my grandma's Buick Century doing just under 30mph. The car she was driving was a Niassan Altima, the side was toally messed.

I have only one regret from that day......that I wasn't driving my 80 Siverado, wish somebody would run into that thing and be at fault. I'm not reckless enough to crack it up myself.

When I first looked at this truck, I thought " It can be fixed." But ends up that the cab has some inside roof rot and the frame, I 99% sure is bowed. So, looks like it's parts truck bound. By the way, I've already listed some of the parts on the parts board if anyone is looking.

Ouch!

I owned this truck back in 1997 and it has 90k original miles. I painted it and it was very nice. Sold it to a good friend of mine in 1998 and it was garage kept and the mile's down. Well.. The trany went out in there van so his wife had to drive it....made a left turn in front of a crew cab dually with a 5th wheel trailer......She wasnt hurt to bad. It bent things I didn't know you could bend. Cab, both doors, and complete front end were toast! I hope you can see how the front end it pushed over in this pic.
