Turquoise Interior Parts

I'm doing a restoration of my 71 and picked a color that was somewhat rare (turquoise poly, 69 GMC) and have most of the parts for the interior in turquoise also. I'm having a hard time finding a source for arm rests in this color. If anyone knows a vendor or supplier that may stock the interoir parts in this color, please post it.

From what I've learned, this interior color option was only available in white, silver or turquoise trucks. Silver was rare, turquoise kinda rare, even white was somewhat rare, then narrow that down to the ones that chose turquoise as an interior color and I can understand why suppliers did not reproduce it.

I have posted a wtb ad in the classifieds, I check ebay regularly, I look at junkyards constantly.

The only other option I can think of is to color another set to match, and I'm not sure of the color code to even do that. And when the spray cans cost $15-20 a pop, it could get expensive to experiment.

Re: Turquoise Interior Parts

Have you asked your local paint supplier if they can scan a sample and provide vinyl paint in a can for you?
I know it's pricey but buying old parts + shipping is also.

Re: Turquoise Interior Parts

Clean off and take in one of your turquoise visors. They will be able to find a similar match to it and either make it in a pint or spray can for ya. Just make sure they know it is going on soft part and not plastic or metal. Trevor

Re: Turquoise Interior Parts

I've thought about the paint, but haven't heard much good about how well it holds up. It won't be a daily driver so that helps, and it will be garaged most of the time, so that may be what I have to go with. Until that point I will continue the search for the correct originals. I know they are out there somewhere.

Thanks for the input though.
