WIW - 71 Short Box
Just stumbled across this in the local yard. Coolant is still draining out of it. Sorry no underhood or box pix but on par with the rest of the truck. Looks like it could have driven in there and is really straight. Newish tires. Straight tailgate. Usual rocker rust. Complete and unmolested. 350 4spd. Note factory 16" rims, POSI, and leaf springs.

Re: WIW - 71 Short Box
So what do you think it's worth? Unknown mechanical condition. No title. $500? $1000?

Re: WIW - 71 Short Box
I like those options. Buy it quick, offer him $1200.00.

Re: WIW - 71 Short Box
True value is hard for me to judge but around here it would be worth $500.00 for scrap metal at any junk yard. I would think $1,000.00 to 1,200.00 would not be out of line at all. Short beds in general are hard to find around me so I would think I would still be interested in it at $1500.00 myself. I hope you can get it bought before they start tearing it up. I bought a 67 C10 from a junk yard and between the time I told them I would buy it and the time I could make it there to pick it up they decided to move it and crushed in one good fender and door. Good Luck

Re: WIW - 71 Short Box
This was posted over a week ago....I am sure that truck and/or bed are either sold or gone to the crusher by now.

Re: WIW - 71 Short Box
That hit the yard??? I feel ill. Up here the frame is worth a grand. I would have paid easy $2500 without blinking if the upper cab area was Ok.

Re: WIW - 71 Short Box
Trucks up here don't seem to head for the crusher that quick. I was takin' parts off a couple 67's for two months. If its in the yard to have parts pulled, it will be there for about 3 to 6 weeks atleast. But on the otherside, ya, that gate is gone!

Re: WIW - 71 Short Box
I gotta start visiting the junk yards in WA. I would've bought that in a heart beat. No more than $1500 though since parts alone would only add up to that. But to just have it would be nice lol
