Shaving Cowl Question

I am just about ready to start shaving my cowl and have a smooth cowl. my question is to anyone that has done this.. the center screws along the cowl near the wiper arms. are those not used and just covered up? Makes me wonder if the cowl will sit good along the windshield.

Re: Shaving Cowl Question

Mine are gone and here are some pics of a little massaging so the cowl lays down right.
