Stylin' after surgery

OK Here's my Story.......
Been dealing with Broken Bones in my Left Foot, for almost 1 year.
Finally told I needed Surgery, with Plates/Pins on 4 (out of my 5 toes).
Doctor says Crutches for 3 Months, NO LOAD BEARING ON YOUR FOOT!
Well I can't use Crutches because I've had 4 Surgeries on my Shoulders,
and 2 on my Right Hand (Work Related Injury).

So I looked at "Knee Scooters", and picked that mode of Transportation.
I researched them and thought, "If I've gotta use this,
then I want it to be an Extension Of My Personality".
So I picked one called the "Kneal Knee Cruiser".
This thing exudes style and is Retro looking too.
On top of that, it comes in 4 different colors,
(one of them being the shade of Green, I want to paint my Truck)!
This thing is made of Aluminum, w/Stainless Steel Hardware.
Rack-n-Pinion Steering in the Front, with Disc Caliper in the Rear.

I thought it would be appreciated here.
Surgery is about 12 days away, but when I go out in Public,
I'll be Stylin in this until; I can Drive my Truick!!!
Got some "Rat Fink" Stickers piced out too.

They are going for about $429.00-$475.00 (depending on the Vendor.
I found one on E-Bay with a "Name Your Price" and offered them $375.00 with Free Shipping and they took it.
My Insurance will pick-up 80% of the Cost,
because the Doctor gave me a Prescription for it.

It was a "Comedy Of Errors".
First off I'm a Type 1 Diabetic with not a lot of feeling in my Feet.
I initially broke 1 bone last May 2010.
They cast it for 5 Months.
By November last year it was 90% Healed.
Then in January 2011 I heard it "Pop" again.
This time I said "Screw It", and continued to walk on it,
for another 6 Weeks. By the time I went to the Doctor in Late February,
I had 4 Broken Bones, (one each Toe except the Big One).
After 8 Weeks in a "Walking Boot" all 4 bones were "Non-Union",
(not Joining/Healing). Surgery is May 19th. They said if I didn't get the Surgery, the Bones in my Left Foot would "Continue To Crumble".On top of this, I found out (through Blood Tests), that I had NO Calcium & NO Vitamin D in my Blood. Seems as though the Medicine I'd been taking for Acid Reflux the last 15 Years, BLOCKS the absorption of BOTH Calcium/Vitamin D.
Needless to say, I quit taking THAT medicene 3 weeks ago, and have had NO PROBLEMS since.

Probably more thsan most want to know, but I needed to Vent.

Its VERY close to the 2010 Camaro "Synergy Green" I've been looking at for my Truck.

The Turning radius is off the hook!
I can Navigate through the whole House without hitting any walls.
Carpet requires more effort, but it's like "Butter in a Frying Pan",

Can you get this paint? I was reading and a lot of people can't find it at paint shops. It's WA708S/GHS and I really like that color too.

I remember you having a cast and all Roger but I had no idea you had all that going on. Man!
That scooter is cool. Almost ape hangers, spoke wheels, disc brakes and slicks!

Wish I'd had one of those scooters to get around on when I broke my ankle.

Broke isn't an adequate word. "Explosive compression fracture" is a group of words you never want to hear about an ankle joint. First Dr. said: "Sorry, but it's gotta come off, you'll never take another step on that leg, ever again....."

Obviously I didn't let him near me again. And he was really PO'd when I said that I wanted a second opinion. Found a good doc the second time.

Super glue & three big long screws. 30 years later this November, & I'm still walking on it. Yeah it hurts a lot of the time, but it's still mine.

Hang in there. It'll get better.

Stop taking all n-said type pain killers & especially acetominaphen (they'll really screw you up, as you've found out).

Get some MSM powder at the health food store, Glucosamine Chondroitin, Cal-Mag-Zinc, Vitamine D (Niacin), liquid mineral, & gelatin-powder capsules. All that stuff really helps with arthritic pain. I've been taking all that for 20-plus years, & when I think maybe I'll lay off for a while, the pain is worse, & I start taking it all again.

Be careful taking the glucosomine, it really screws up some folks blood sugar.

My Trucks not hard to spot,
(at least I havent seen another like it in the immediate area)
Since January, its seen more "Shop Time" than Road Time.
I've actually had it home about 2 weeks (Off/On) over the last 5 months.
Its was in from Jan-April, for an Interior Restoration/Paint.
Then it went back in to work/refine those "Bugs" left over.
Now its in...... to tuck the exhaust up into the Frame.
Next will be a Thumpr Cam Install and the Lokar Gas/Brake/E-Brake Pedals.
