Auxillary fuel tank (gas)
I will be installing an auxillary fuel tank into my pickup to extend my driving range. My truck is a 2000 Chevy Silverado 3/4 ton 4x4 with the 6L. My truck is the short bed so the stock tank is pretty small. The tank I am installing is basically a home made unit from Aluminum. Can anyone offer some advice on the plumbing so I don't have evap codes and is reasonably safe?

Re: Auxillary fuel tank (gas)
I am going to recommend against it, but anything is possible. It will need to be completely sealed to not cause EVAP codes, let it vent through the stock charcoal canister.

Do you know where the stock canister is located?

Re: Auxillary fuel tank (gas)
Its the box ether directly in front of the tank or on the frame with all the running to it.

Yes I know the box you mean it's just in front of the tank on my truck. Thanks for your input.
