Straight down Drop Rams Horns on 2wd?
I was told by a friend that when he went to an exhaust guy he was told that the straight drop rams horns were designed for the 4wd trucks and he needed to get the angled toward the rear rams horns for him to do the exhaust. I have had stock 2wd trucks with straight drop manifolds in the past that I believe were original.
I am planning on using rams horns on my current project. I can see how it may be easier for the exhaust guy to use the angled manifolds over the straight but should I be concerned about using the straight drop for any reason? I have a passenger side rams horn with the angle. Would it look stupid with one of each? |

If you have your engine in the Six Cyl holes they will work (just saw a truck yesterday like that) But, if you have your engine in the Eight Cyl holes it is a really tight bend that most exhaust shops wont try to make....(Been there done that).

That explains it. I'll try to find the drivers side with the angle to keep it simple.

Yep, I put a v8 in 6cyl mounts and had to use straight rams horns, angled ones hit clutch linkage.
