lost lug lock, please help

I lost the lug lock to my rims, and have a bad tire, it keeps going down. Lug lock is made like a four leaf clover. Any advice on what to do, is greatly appreciated. Lug locks are probably a good 10 years old. Thought about buying a set and just using the lock from it. Anything short of cracking the rim.

Is it possible for you to drive a smaller diameter bar over it and then turn it off? I know that is how I had to do it when I lost the factory lug lock for my former 95 Formula.

Similar to what wyatt said, I've seen a socket pounded over the nut, and then backed off. I doubt you would find a lock to match, but who knows

Look around, I got lucky once and the previous owner had stuck the sticker that comes with the locks in the glove box. One phone call and 10 bucks later I had a new key to pull the nuts off.

Otherwise they make sockets that have tapered teeth inside to pound on the lug nut then unscrew.
Or you could try welding a nut to the lock.

take it to discount tire.
they usually keep a plethera of locks.
or call around to the local tire shops.. someone will be able to get it off for you.

A drift in the outer edge of one of the cloverleafs and a couple smacks with a hammer. Loose in less time it took to find the drift and hammer.

I do this about twice a month for customers. Get a lifetime warranty socket because you will ruin it. But it must be chrome. Get one a little smaller then the lug lock and drive it over the lock, hit it with an impact. It will come off. repeat with others.

Go to Auto Zone, look at the lugs they have hung up on the shelf there. I found the match to mine that way. I tried getting the 'pros' to get the lugs off for me. Little Rock, Arkansas 'pros' are a bunch of girls. So I got them off myself.

ive use3d the socket trick myself but ive foubnd it doesnt have to be a lifetime socket... i try to use the oldest one i have thats an old knucklebreaker and it does the job

had this issue on my old iroc, took it to a tire shop and they hammered a socket on it and it came right off, $15.

You can try a nut splitter.
A large bolt out socket will work if you can get it on.

Any new car dealership or discount tire will have the master set of pretty much every lock out there. Thats the easiest way. Discount will do it for free.

once off leave it off, they tend to keep you from getting the tire off more then it keeps others from getting it off

I took a stock lug nut and welded it to the top of the locking lug. Came right off. Just make sure you cover around the lug and use lots of heat. The stock lug taper fit into the clover leaf design pretty good.

Then buy Gorilla lugs if you want something that locks, I love 'em!

Snapon makes sockets to take wheel locks off. We have a set in our shop. They work good. But hey. I didn't buy the tool lol hate to see how much just 4 socket set will cost

pound on an old one.........got some with the nut still in em
same works for the chrome covered nuts that the cover deforms an strips
i bought a camero for parts and the guy wanted the rims back and a few parts
lent him my torch(mistake)he welded/melted the rims on they were like magnesium or something lite
