Re: question for the knowledgable.

Headliner, houndstooth seats, cargo light, passenger firewall will have a heat shield, power steering will have remote reservoir, heavy duty radiator. There's more that others will add, but here's the deal - a Cheyenne can be faked.

I tend to be pretty skeptical when a tach/tilt big block truck magically still have all those valuable items, but somehow is missing one of the most protected, durable and important features?

Fair or not, that truck is out of the running as far as getting my consideration. Now, if you don't care about that kind of stuff and like those features, place you value in the quality of the restoration.

Re: question for the knowledgable.

I am skeptical myself about this one. Looks like a nice truck, but my opinion is someone built the truck they wanted.

Re: question for the knowledgable.

My opinion is that truck is not the real deal. I think it's a truck that's been cobbled together with some nice pieces, but there's too many odd things. No big trans hump, wrong brackets on the engine.

What's it worth? It's a nice driver, but nearly everything need to be redone on it. It would've been worth more to me if they had not thrown the paint on it. No telling what lurks under there. Wheels and tires are $2000, add another $1000 for the suspension bits, $3000 for the trim, interior and re-usable bits, and $3000 for the truck, so $9000?

Re: question for the knowledgable.

Questions asked about this truck for your enjoyment
Quote:
MORE QUESTION I'VE GOT.

1-THE FACTORY GLOVE BOX DOOR WAS REPLACED BY THE OTHER OWNER. HE PUT A NEW CHROME ONE ON . I DO NOT HAVE THE BLUID STICKER THAT IN THE BOX. BUT I DO HAVE ALL THE FACTORY BADGES THAT WAS REPLACE IN A BOX. THEY GO WITH THE TRUCK ALSO. THERE (2) 400 (2) FENDER CHEYENNE SUPER AND (1) CHEYENNE SUPER GLOVE BOX BADGES.

2-YES THERE A PRICE THAT I WILL END IT AT.

3-YES THE CHEYENNE SUPER CAME WITH WOOD GRAIN MOLDING.

4-THE OTHER OWNER PUT THE NEW RALLY GAUGE'S WITH TAC IN. BUT DID NOT USE THE WOOD GRAIN COVER ON THEM. I DO HAVE THE FACTORY WOOD GRAIN RALLY GAUGES WITH TAC THAT CAME OUT OF THE TRUCK.

5- I DO HAVE THE FACTORY INTAKE AND VAULE COVERS GO WITH IT. HE COULD NOT FINE THE FACTORY CARB OR THE BREATHER.

6- ROCKER ARE GOOD. WILL POST SOME PICTURES IN TUESDAY.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
:

MORE QUESTION VIA CELL

1-SOME ONE ASK TO PROVE IT WAS A FACTORY BIGBLOCK. THE GUY I BOUGHT IT FROM SAID FOR AS KNEW IT WAS.SO I DONT HAVE THE STICKER THATS IN THE GLOVE BOX. SO HERE WHAT I WAS TOLD TO CHECK.

A- BIG TRANS HUMP? NO IT DONT. I HAVE ASK 3 TRUCK GUYS THEY EACH HAVE THERE OWN ANSWERS. SOME SAID THAT'S HOW YOU TELL. AND SOME SAY THEY SEEN THEM WITH SMALL HUMP ALSO.

B- BIGBLOCK CAME WITH DUAL EXHAUST. THEY SHOULD BE A BRACKET WITH A RIVOT ON THE FRAME NEAR THE REAR BUMPER ON BOTH SIDE. THE ONE ON THE PASS SIDE IS GONE.SHAVED OFF. BUT THE ONE ON THE DRIVER SIDE. IS THERE. THE TRUCK HAS CUSTOM EXHAUST SYSTEM.

C- WAS TOLD THAT THE EMERGENCY BRAKE CABLE IS MOUNTED ON THE TRANS CROSS MEMBER.ON BIG BLOCKS. THIS ONE IS

D- I HAVE THE OLD FADED BADGES IN THE BOX THAT THE PAST OWNER REMOVED THEY ALSO SAYS 400

E- NUMBER ON THE MOTOR. THE ONE ON THE LEFT SIDE FRONT READS Ti103CGVIOD132010. I HAVE TRIED TO GET THE NUMBERS FROM THE BACK ON THE BLOCK BUT NO LUCK.

SO IF ANY ONE CAN RUN THIS NUMBER .PLEASE LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU FIND OUT.

SO FOR THE RECORD I CAN NOT PROVE OR DENY THAT IT CAME WITH THE BIGBLOCK. SO PLEASE IF YOU DONT WONT THE TRUCK AS IS. I UNDERSTAND BUT IT STILL A BADD ASS TRUCK.

Re: question for the knowledgable.

That is a beautiful truck. The only reason I didnt buy the truck 3 weeks ago is because im finishing up my shop.I have a lot tied up in it.Breuceman im not actually searching for a truck.I have one.I Have a 1972 c10 a/t a/c s/b p/b.Its gold and white.I bought the truck in 1985.in 1990 i had the truck painted and put all new chrome ,new rockers, and have drove the hound out of it.Now the rust is back and paint is faded. Its still a driver but here laterly i have wanted to lower it.I dont want to do anything that cant be put back to stock later if I want. The truck has leaf springs on the rear.I have been looking for threads that show how to lower leafs but I havent found alot about leafs. hahahahaha I have several old cars that needs a little tlc. Thanks guys. wayne
