I have a lead on a '67 4X4 Long Bed - need opinions on fair price
I've got a lead on a '67 4x4 Long Bed. Small block 350, 4 speed. Looks like there's rust in the rockers, driver's door may have been hit, otherwise - pretty straight exterior. It runs.
She's pretty rough, the guy says it needs TLC. Excluding the wheels it looks all original. Thinking of making him an offer. Any thoughts to a fair price? Thanks

The motor wouldn't be original. Is it a pretty basic truck or one with options? I'll take a stab in the dark and say $2,000.

I just sold an all original 283 4x4 with factory front posi and some scattered rust for $2800. I think you should aim between 1000 & 2000 for a modified rough truck of the same vintage.

I like it! I'd say shoot for around $1500-2000! I'd sure like to find a fairly solid 4x4 like that! I have found a couple of frames for sale lately, just don't have the finances!

Re: I have a lead on a '67 4X4 Long Bed - need opinions on fair price
Where you live ,I would say offer $1000 and go slightly higher from there.Where I live and in some other areas of the country it is a $2500 truck any day. There are lots of good trucks in ca at a good price in this economy you just have to look.I located a 72 GMC seirra grande 2500 with bb,tilt, tach and buckets close to you a couple weeks ago for $3500.it is original paint and rust free.It is also no longer for sale and I am going back to CA at the end of the summer.

Re: I have a lead on a '67 4X4 Long Bed - need opinions on fair price
I know prices vary from place to place, but I would be happy to get that truck for 1200 being its a four wheel drive. maybe even 2000 is worth it but that would have to be nearing top price.

Re: I have a lead on a '67 4X4 Long Bed - need opinions on fair price
No ,I have been going to ca about once a year for the last four to get rust free trucks.I can buy a plane ticket and gas back home for a rustfree truck cheaper than I can repair the rusty ones around here.prices are also alot cheaper there because they haven't all rusted to death and there are alot more to choose from.

Re: I have a lead on a '67 4X4 Long Bed - need opinions on fair price
Personally, I would pass. You can find cabs in junkyards here that are in better shape than that. What is he asking for the truck? It may still be worth it to buy for the frame/drivetrain and just swap out another cab, if the price is low enough.

Re: I have a lead on a '67 4X4 Long Bed - need opinions on fair price
He seems like he really wants to sell it. Basically said "make me an offer". I'm thinking 500-700 if I were to do anything....

Re: I have a lead on a '67 4X4 Long Bed - need opinions on fair price
I'd go that cheap. Bare in mind that's a Super Custom 4wd...pretty rare. It's the equivalent to a CST and would have come with bucket seats. It has big potential.
