33 X 12.50- 15 on a stock blazer? Any thoughts and pictures?

I have stock ralleys on my blazer and want to go to a weld super single like my pickups. Do I need a lift to go to 33's or will it work? thanks, eric

I have that size tire on my 70 Blazer and they are fine, no lift and no problems with them at all.

33 x 12.5/17 .... not the same size but overall same. Mine's got a 2" lift in the rear though. Front is all original springs which might have a little sag in them. They rub on full lock, but otherwise turn and work great.

I had 33x12.5s on my blazer but they rubbed at full turn. I have since done a 2 1/2 inch lift and it works great now.

Thats probably due to your offset. With stock rallies 33 12.50 15 fit fine

FYI, Rallies did not come stock on 69-72 Blazers, but they do look great.

Also, each brand of tire has a different overall height. I'd measure your current tires and the clearance at full turn and see how much space you have. Then check with the manufacturers to see what the true height is of their tires.

Re: 33 X 12.50- 15 on a stock blazer? Any thoughts and pictures?

I purchased a set of weld super single 15X10 wheels and the 33X12.50 tires. The wheels rub on the calipers to the point of locking the wheels if I tighten them down and I think the wheel might touch the tie rod end too. Very frustrating. Haven't been to the shop since. Any ideas? Thought about spacers but that could cause other problems.

I have heard that with some of the newer wheels, you need to have the centers machined larger to have them fit over the older hubs. Not sure if that is your problem or not though.
