what kind of front and rear end do i have ?

I have alot of questions on my stock 1982 chevy silverado it has 100,000 miles im not sure if there originol miles right now its all stock drive train.I will admit i dont know much about trucks.So i have no idea what front and rear end i have its all stock.And nothing has been changed.I just baught the truck months ago.What size bolts are they.And how much can i sell the sets for as i need money because i want to buy some rear dana 60 14 bolt maybe smaller and front end. how much does this stuff go i hear people talking about buying this stuff all the time for 300 bucks each do i buy new or used? where do i go?And since rear and front ends can be 4x2 or 4x4 do i buy 4x4 how does this work.Help me out guys thanks

Is your truck 1/2 ton (6 lugs) or 3/4 ton (8 lugs). If it is 8 lug you already have 14 bolt rear end and Dana 44 front or 10 bolt front, would need a pic to tell. If you have 6 lug you would want to find a used 14 bolt from a 3/4 ton and you could swap out the hubs on your front end to 8 lug, or get a set of axles out of the same truck.

if its 3/4t he could have a semi floating or full floating though and i didnt think 10b fronts came around till 84 possibly i cant remember its been awhile

Probly GM Corp 10Bolt front and rear..basic 6 lug 1/2 Ton solid axle

10 bolt fronts came out in 79 and you probably have a 10 bolt rear as well. They don't go for very much money maybe 150 for the set depending on what gears are in them. Are you planning on going to bigger tires or more power? if not i'd just leave em in there. Oops, I just assumed you have a half ton, my bad, if its a 3/4 ton disregard what I said. And I'm assuming by the 2x4 front end you mean locking hubs?

I have a half ton! and i think it has a 10 front and 12 rear.

guys i have alot of questions so how much would a 14 bolt rear cost and idk what i should get on the front.Also the gears i would like to be 4:56 and idk what else.I want to put 35s i jsut want the truck to be good enough for when i offroad in the desert when i take my raptor.And handle things.im lifting it 6 inches.HOW MUCH WOULD THIS COST and is buying used good or bad will the axles last.Any advice thanks

i do have half ton lol and i want more power and im getting bigger tires
