What would you do?

About 4-5 years ago I bought 2 sets of the heavy duty headlight kits from LMC. I ordered the wrong sets and got the ones for GMC's with the 4 head light hook ups..

First ,I will ask if anyone has modified a 4 headlight set up to a 2 headlight set for use in the Chevy Trucks? If so,would you let me know what you did to make it work .

What would you do?

Modify them ,,,sell them,,,or see if I can return them?

Re: What would you do?

What all does the kit entail? I know that if the high beam lights are wired into the kit the same way GM wired the GMC high beams, then you should be able to just cut off the high beam plug. WES

Re: What would you do?

fyi: not sure if part number has changed but LMC shows this item as being for 60-66 GMC and 60-61 Chevy.

Re: What would you do?

Larry... like Wes said above, you can just cut off the high beam (2-prong) connectors or trim them out. That's what I would do, if you need a harness for a Chevy. The remaining 3-prong plugs have high, low, and ground for 7" single headlamps.

Or just sell the harness. I doubt it could be returned after that much time.

thx Wes ,I was thinking that one could just use part of it and blank off the rest.

Re: What would you do?

Or just tape the extra high beam wire back. No biggie, unless you are building a show truck. The lights will not know the difference.
