question about a grill support panel. will a 63 fit a 66? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

i was told the single headlight grill will not work on this panel because it does not have the diamond shape indention on the panel. i was told it only can be used with the double headlight grill. any input would be greatly appreciated.

If it really is a 63 panel I would assume it would work because Chevys only had two headlights from 1962-1966. In looking at pictures on the Chevy Duty website however, there does seem to be a larger lower center portion behind the bumper on the 64-66 version. I always assumed the only differences were where the holes for the grille mounting were drilled, but perhaps there are shape changes as well. Hopefully someone with more experience swapping these parts will chime in.

I think they are all the same. The fenders are the same and they all line up the same. I bought an aftermarket one and I think it was listed as 60-66. I never used it and need to sell it.Posted via Mobile Device

I have a 63 grill and the headlight bracket is different than my 66. The 63 is the top pic.
