Starter problems

ok, been trying to see if the motor in my truck is work going thru or not. It was turning over for a while and then the starter started clicking. i took it off and had it tested and it passed. put it back on and its clicking again. any ideas? thanks in advance

Insufficient voltage, either due to faulty wiring or a bad battery.

Make sure all the starter connections are real clean!!!

I had the same problem in the past.

Make sure you have a ground strap on your motor..................Had that problem with my 65....................Hemmit

Just went throug this earlier this week with my 69 Chevelle...about half the time it would start, about half the time it would just click.

New battery fixed it right up.

...and I would go with new battery cables.. they start corroding up at the terminal, and the whole cable will go, so even if you change the terminal, you still might have the problem... you can usually see it when you take the terminal off, there is a green"vein" of corrosion running through the wire..

ok...so not to steal a thread but i have an issue also that someone might be able to throw some light on....when i hit the ignition switch I can hear the solenoid engage but the engine wont turn over....keeping hitting the ignition and then it will fire...other times it will turn over the engine on the first try....brand new cables brand new (remanufactured) starter.....any ideas?
