Re: how to pull off door panels ?

Mine is a 75, so I don't know how much different they are, but I had to roll my window all the way down, and then lift the bottom part of the panel up, and then push the whole thing towards the outside of the door. There were clips on the top that slid into grooves / holes, and you had to kind of rotate the panel up to get them out.

Re: how to pull off door panels ?

Did you get the screw in the arm rest? If you look down where you put your hand to pull the door closes, there's one or two screws there. One has to be removed to get the panel off.

And as lindstromjd said...there's also some clips along the top. For me, the inner window felt was attached to the door trim panel and the door. Required a putty knife or something to slide in there to pop them off.

Whatever you do...when you have it ready to come off, it doesn't take much force at all, so don't force it. If you have the armrest screw out, then you probably just need to finess the clips along the top with the window felt.

Yea i figured they where those pull clips its hard to pull and i dont want to break the heads off as i did most of the time on the trim.I was using a screw driver to but i guess there so old. Also your right on the door handles those where hard i preety much yanked the door handle all the way off lol.And left a big hole where the screw cam threw.Cause there was no possible way to reach under and unscrew it.And when i put my aftermarket new handles on theres the screw hole so i guess i need to cover it up somehow ....
