Chevelle Headers for our trucks #68608

I found a set, but they don't come with collectors. They are at $157 now. Would I be able to use standard 3" collectors that you can pick up at parts stores?

Yes, big block headers will fit. I used the 3/4 length chevelled headers on my truck. The drivers side fits well (have to use a smaller height oil filter though) and the passenger side header fits ok (had to grind the frame about 3/4" to for header to sit properly). These headers dump right in line with the frame rail. 2wd pickup.

I have Hooker Chevelle BB headers from Summit and they fit fine. On my '67 it took a little grinding on lower part of frame rail on left side to give adequate cleareance. I'm running a M-20 4 speed and clutch linkage took a little engineering but it will work. Headers hang 2 - 3 inches below frame rail.
